Darrell is a 27 year old concept artist based in California with a specialty in storyboarding and character design. He works both traditionally and digitally, with a brush-pen rendering style. With early influence from comics and manga as well as formal training in using Toon Boom for storyboarding, he has sufficient knowledge in sequential storytelling.

His goals as an artist are to apply his skills in the entertainment industry and illustrate a graphic novel on the side in hopes to create something that will inspire the next generation of artists the same way he was inspired.

Some ongoing projects he is currently working on include his graphic novel Jet Black, which personifies the challenges of the modern artist through action, adventure, and sci-fi representations.

In his spare time he likes driving his car around the LA canyons, airsofting, and watching anime. His freelance experience spans storyboarding and character design for startups, advertising and graphic design for clothing and apparel, vinyl stickers, album covers, packaging designs, and logo designs.
